New Changing RoomsBurtonwood Bulldogs are a small Junior Rugby League Club in Warrington. We are a family-club and welcome children of any age to join our growing numbers. This year, we have age groups of under 7s, 8s and 9s, as well as successful older established teams. The facilites we have available for the children - 2 very small changing rooms - are inadequate and are holding back the club's development. You can imagine match-day with some 80 people (from both sides) trying to get changed and showered. Our children deserve better and we want the local MP and the council to help. We have tried for nearly 2 years just to get permission to improve the facilities, but to no avail. A small club would like to be heard - please sign our petition and help us help the young ones. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/helpthebulldogs/

At the moment, we are finally making some in-roads in that a community feasibility study will be carried out and once we are given approval, the Bulldogs, in agreement with the Community Centre, will apply for funding to improve the facility for our children.

A meeting took place last night with members of the Bulldogs and the Bridge, along with local council to try to push the development of the new facilities. A meeting is being arranged with the planning office to determine where and what size will be acceptable. This is the first stage in the process that will hopefully see new facilities for all in the near future. We will keep eveyone update on developments.
