| Game Notes | Bulldogs U9s suffered their heaviest ever defeat today against an outstanding Shevington Sharks side going down 9 tries to 2.
Despite scoring the first try of the game from a fine Aidan Doyle effort, the Shevington side stepped up to score 5 unanswered first half tries.
A stiff talking to at half time seemed to spur the Bulldogs into action with a much improved defensive display and a fine solo effort from Tom Baines to score the Bulldogs second and final try of the day.
Shevington scored a further 4 second half tries to take the honours 9 tries to 2.
Games against the Bulldogs and Shevington have previously been tight and even but, unfortunately, today the Bulldogs had no answer to the speed and movement of Shevington.
Tackling drills will be the theme for training this week as this was the key area that does need immediate improvement.
The lads certainly struggled at times with some interpretation of the referee style and decisions but as long as we, both as players and also as coaches, learn from today then this heavy defeat won't do us any harm.
